I'm releasing my Own Software

CodeBreakthrough - Caleb Curry

Over the past 3 months I have been heads-down building and I have some exciting news. Here is what I've been working on:

  1. I've been spending any extra time I have building a software that I will be releasing for public beta here very soon. I am stoked to share some details in this email.
  2. I've been working through course content (as usual) and should be finishing up level 2 of data structures and algorithms soon for anyone who purchased the early access.

Because I have been so busy working on content and the software I haven't had a chance to get a newsletter out. but I'M BACK BABY!!!

Big News

I've created a lot of software in my life. Either through an employer, on my own for YouTube and course content, or for profit in partnership with other developers.

However, this time building software is different. I now have the experience needed to build a viable software business end-to-end. From idea, to implementation, to sales and marketing.

While I will not reveal the full product in this email, I will happily share that it is a platform for online marketing and sales suitable for both businesses and individuals (creators or small solopreneurs like me).

This SaaS building process...I've been going through it on my own, and I'm about 90% of the way to having a beta for people to start using. If you're interested in being involved in testing and gaining experience with beta software, feel free to respond to this email and let me know you'd be interested in being part of the beta testing group.

Stay tuned for continual updates on this. Whether you are eventually interested in the product as a customer or if you're interested in seeing the journey from the software development / business perspective... I'll share more in upcoming emails.

2026 Content

Last year I released the Software Engineering Mastery bundle. Many of you joined this and have been benefiting from it a lot. This focuses on the core principles of software engineering. Things like the fundamentals, backend, frontend, data management, and other major themes/concepts. Consider these your core skills. This year, my focus will shift. I have some new goals.

  1. Continue to make training accessible. I want to continue to post free content on YouTube, and adjust my strategy to make this successful with some of the latest changes to the YouTube algorithm and the type of content people consume.
  2. Focus on REAL WORLD app development. I've documented everything as I've built out this SaaS and will share it. These are the skills that build on top of the fundamentals. This is what actually matters in the end game...applied skills using specific technologies. The fundamentals are nice, but they only get you so far...we need some tutorials on the exact tools and steps needed to build a profitable SaaS.
  3. Bite-size learning and success. Not everything has to be a mastery course, bundle, or multiple hour YouTube video. This year I'm going to focus on increasing the amount of value I provide and offer some mini courses to help with specific challenges.

Tomorrow I will share the details on my next course release. It's going to be sick.

Stay tuned!

CodeBreakthrough - Caleb Curry What is the most effective way to learn? Is there a "perfect" approach? While I do believe the choice curriculum you follow is vitally important, I don't believe the medium is nearly as important (book, documentation, video, etc). Some people learn great by reading books. Other people by documentation. Others prefer courses or tutorials. You may even be using LLMs as a learning guide, now. But what everyone has in common -- We all learn by doing. I don't believe...
