This week is all about DSA with the opening of my Data Structures and Algorithms course. The problem is that so many people have big misconceptions holding them back. I address this in my latest video:

I guarantee if you change your perspective on these 3 things, you'll unlock the ability to become a much better software engineer.

Life Updates

I took some time off to celebrate my 10 year anniversary. Crazy. Feeling very blessed.

And then my whole family got sick and we're just now getting back in to the swing of things 🙂

Course Updates - Finished Software Engineering Fundamentals

For the last few months I've been working through the fundamentals course series. Fundamentals now all complete and live.

I might be biased but I'd have to say this is one of the greatest courses of all time for getting started in software development. It explores a vast number of important topics and goes deeper than most resources out there (without bloating the material). Just the first course is ~15 hours of fundamental computer science and software engineering material.

Here is some feedback from my community:

I really enjoy your course so far! Thank you so much for your help! - Elvira

And, as I mentioned, I opened my DSA course. This is available for early access ONLY a few more days. Then it will be closed until the content is complete.

What's Next?

I've mentioned a general software engineering mastery course, but I've been delaying this to focus on DSA. I'm not 100% sure what what this will be, so I'm giving myself some additional time to think through it and get feedback from course customers. So I'll pause discussion on that topic for some time.

I have some additional YouTube content in the pipeline, coming soon. I'll also be conquering the lessons for my early access courses.

If you've started any of the courses, let me know what has been the most helpful. Reply to this email!

CodeBreakthrough - Caleb Curry What is the most effective way to learn? Is there a "perfect" approach? While I do believe the choice curriculum you follow is vitally important, I don't believe the medium is nearly as important (book, documentation, video, etc). Some people learn great by reading books. Other people by documentation. Others prefer courses or tutorials. You may even be using LLMs as a learning guide, now. But what everyone has in common -- We all learn by doing. I don't believe...

CodeBreakthrough - Caleb Curry Over the past 3 months I have been heads-down building and I have some exciting news. Here is what I've been working on: I've been spending any extra time I have building a software that I will be releasing for public beta here very soon. I am stoked to share some details in this email. I've been working through course content (as usual) and should be finishing up level 2 of data structures and algorithms soon for anyone who purchased the early access. Because I...
